Former RIOT Singer TONY MOORE Launches BIG MUFF PI
March 22, 2014Tony Morabito, the artist formerly known as ex-RIOT frontman Tony Moore, has teamed up with double-kick monster Todd "Vinny"Vinciguerra (V.H.F., also featuring Tony Franklin and Joel Hoekstra) and WARRIOR guitar slinger Joe Floyd to form the heavyweight power trio BIG MUFF PI.
BIG MUFF PI will feature Tony on bass as well as vocals, a role he's been passionate about since his early rock 'n' roll days.
According to Morabito, "It started out as a garage band — we were playing old-school hard rock tunes, LED ZEPPELIN, AC/DC, DEEP PURPLE and the like, just to play the local joints and have some fun. Then we started banging some grooves around, and it got serious pretty quickly…"
Writing sessions have begun at Joe Floyd's Silvercloud Recording (where Tony did many of the vocal tracks on RIOT's acclaimed "Immortal Soul" and Vinny recorded his drum tracks for the soon-to-be-released V.H.F. CD) and new material is expected later in 2014. Visit www.bigmuffpi.net for news and updates.
